Dr. Favagehi
Dr. Favagehi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received a B.S. in Biology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In 1994, he received his D.D.S. degree from Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University). He completed his periodontics residency at The Ohio State University, where he also received a Master of Science (Oral Biology). Dr. Favagehi is an adjunct faculty member at the Virginia Commonwealth University since 1998 and has received a Teaching and Mentorship award from the American Academy of Periodontology. He has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Periodontology and has served in the Research Submission Committees of the American Academy of Periodontology and Academy of Osseointegration where he also served as committee chairman. Dr. Favagehi and his wife, Dr. Lourdes Ann Christopher, maintain a private practice focusing on periodontics and implant dentistry in the Washington DC area since 1997.
